Elderabuse.org is honored to announce that Page Ulrey, JD, has joined its board. Page is the Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Elder Abuse Project, Economic Crimes Unit King County (Seattle), in the Washington State Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Perhaps the most experienced and innovative elder abuse prosecutor in the country, she has handled cases of elder financial exploitation, neglect, physical assault, sexual assault, and homicide.  Page is a founder of the King County Elder Abuse Council and co-founder of the King County Elder Abuse Multidisciplinary Team.  She has presented internationally on the prosecution of elder abuse and contributed to a number of scholarly publications.

Page’s deeply thoughtful approach to justice in cases of elder abuse is groundbreaking.  Her many areas of interest include how the theory of distributive justice can be applied to elder abuse prosecution, and how geriatricians and prosecutors can collaborate to improve legal and health outcomes in elder abuse.
